Leading Aberdeen accountant shortlisted for top UK award
Leading Aberdeen accountant Infinity Partnership has been shortlisted for a top award, a year after winning a prestigious accolade at the same event.
The firm’s Managing Partner Simon Cowie (pictured above) has been named a finalist in the Practice Leader of the Year Category at the 2023 Accounting Excellence Awards. He won the Practice Pioneer Award at last year’s event as well as previously winning the individual honour at the British Accountancy Awards in 2016.
The Accounting Excellence winners will be announced at a gala ceremony at The Roundhouse in Camden, London, on Tuesday, October 3rd.
Simon said: “It’s a tremendous honour be shortlisted once again. It’s true what they say: you’re only as good as your team and we have an excellent team at Infinity. This is recognition of the hard work they do to support our clients with first-rate accountancy and advisory services.
We’re looking forward to the London event and flying the flag for Aberdeen and the North-east.”
Infinity is a five-time winner at the British Accountancy Awards. The practice has won more than 30 awards in total, including successes at ceremonies held by leading accountancy software brands such as Iris and Sage.
Simon is a two-time winner of the Scottish Dealmaker of the Year title. He has completed more than 100 deals worth more than £300m in total.
Infinity has made a significant investment in cloud-based technology solutions to assist in providing support and advice to clients. The firm, which has a UK-wide client base, is recognised for its accountancy, research and development tax relief, mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance expertise. Most of its clients are connected to the energy sector in the Aberdeen area.
