INDUSTRY EXPERTS JOIN BOARD AT FIFE COLLEGE
Fife College has announced the appointment of three new members to their Board of Governors.
Samantha Mowbray, Garry Dickson, and Pamela Forbes have now received the required approval from Scottish Ministers.
Samantha Mowbray is the Lead IT Vendor Manager at Aegon and has experience in several areas including IT, law and commercial and financial services. As a lifelong learner herself, and a working mum, Samantha is well placed to promote the need for a flexible approach to learning.
Garry Dickson is the HR Transformation Lead at the NatWest Group and has over 30 years’ experience in HR across both the private and public sector.
He is a chartered member of the CIPD and is a former student of the college, having successfully completed qualifications in accounting, computing and his full CIPD qualification here.
Pamela Forbes brings a wealth of experience in the education sector as she is the Medical Admissions Officer at St Andrews University and was previously a Senior Policy Analyst at the Scottish Funding Council.
Pamela completed an MA (Hons) Classical Studies and an MSc (Res) Psychology, with her thesis for the latter examining the attainment gap.
The Board of Governors at the College comprises of 18 members, including the Principal, two student members, two staff members and 13 external members.
David Watt, Chair of the Fife College Board, said: “These are three great appointments to the Fife College Board of Governors.
“Samantha, Garry and Pamela will bring their own unique experience to the role, all of which will be invaluable as we set out our strategic direction for the coming years.”
